Statement on Spliced Video Circulating on Social Media

It has come to our attention that a video of one of our doctors seemingly endorsing magic eye supplements is circulating on social media.

The video was spliced from a Salamat Dok interview. Asian Eye does not endorse/distribute the product mentioned, and did not authorize the mention of any of our doctors in any video.

We are very concerned about this as it promises easy cure to sight-threatening eye problems without proper diagnosis and treatment plan from a doctor. Contrary to their claims, there are no magic eye drops and eye supplements that can cure or prevent eye conditions, such as refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, floaters and diabetic retinopathy.

We encourage the public to be more discerning of posts and videos they see online. If you experience any changes in your vision like blurring of vision, seeing clear or dark spots in your vision, loss of peripheral (side) vision, visit your eye doctor immediately. Use medications that are FDA-approved and prescribed by your eye doctor.
